Thank you to Our Donors
This January, we are honored to shine our donor spotlight on Patti O’Keefe and her husband, Mark Stilley. Together, they have become integral members of the Victoria’s Voice family, standing on the front lines of our mission to prevent youth substance misuse and support families impacted by the drug crisis.
For Patti, a retired schoolteacher and counselor, the fight against the fentanyl epidemic is deeply personal. Even with her background in education, she faced every parent’s worst nightmare when her son, Phil, lost his life to fentanyl poisoning. Patti describes Phil as a young man who was full of life. Phil was a talented musician, had a wicked sense of humor, and loved his family deeply. He was a creative soul and deep thinker. You can hear more about Phil’s story here.
Patti had always spoken to Phil about the dangers of drugs, but the reality of fentanyl poisoning has changed the stakes for every family. When Patti first reached out to Victoria’s Voice, she sent a beautiful note to Jackie and David Siegel expressing her condolences on the death of Victoria. It was a powerful “mother to mother” connection that laid the foundation for her support.
As Phil’s stepfather, Mark’s support for Patti’s mission has been unwavering. He stands beside her as they channel their grief into a legacy of prevention. We are so grateful for their generosity; their support ensures that Phil’s story continues to save lives through our drug prevention education programs, helping other parents protect their children from unsuspecting dangers.
