- One Step Away
Our collaborative One Step Away program for incarcerated individuals is led by Michael DeLeon, a twice-incarcerated former drug user who went on to attain several advanced degrees and recognition as an accomplished author, movie producer, drug prevention educator, and a recipient of the presidential service award.
One Step Away is founded on Michael’s 10 principles for successful re-entry into society, which he developed while preparing himself to leave prison and never return. This highly acclaimed program is now accessible to more than 400,000 inmates in 40 states through our newly expanded tablet distribution program. It is a privilege to provide this valuable life skills program to inmates nationwide—meeting parents where they are as they prepare for re-entry into their lives as caregivers.
