Victoria’s Voice Shatters SUD Stigma
Mark Cady-Archilla, Victoria’s Voice Corporate Partnerships Director, recently shared his powerful story at the 94th Annual Criminal Justice Institute Conference in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The conference, hosted by The Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency (FCCD), provided training for criminal justice professionals.
Mark’s presentation shared his personal journey to overcoming substance use disorder. He explained how his own experiences led him to advocate for drug diversion and SUD treatment. His work eventually brought him to Victoria’s Voice, where he took on the crucial role of spearheading corporate fundraising efforts.
Mark was thrilled to be able to introduce the audience to the Victoria’s Voice Get. Give. Save. campaign, a vital initiative to increase awareness and access to naloxone nationwide. The impact of his speech was immediate; within minutes, Mark distributed more than 400 copies of Victoria’s Voice materials, sparking interest and action among conference attendees.
